Project Overview

Peak Prosthodontics had already taken their first step into biophilic design with a striking moss wall in their reception area. While the wall brought a sense of calm and connection to nature, the rest of the clinic felt like it was missing that same cohesive touch. That’s where Leaf It To Me came in.

This installation focused on the reception, waiting area, and washroom, with future plans to extend the design into the treatment rooms. The result is a space that feels balanced, welcoming, and infused with the quiet benefits of nature from the moment patients walk in.

The goal was to build on the foundation of the moss wall, creating continuity throughout the space with living greenery. One of the tasks in this project was incorporating plants into spacious washroom designed for accessibility. It’s generous scale left awkward, unused corners, which we transformed into opportunities for greenery — using discreet grow lights to ensure plants could thrive in an area with no natural light.

Design Vision: Cohesive, Clean, Calming

The team at Peak Prosthodontics wanted the clinic to feel clean and professional, yet inviting and less clinical. Our vision was to:

  • Create Continuity – Extend the sense of biophilia beyond the moss wall into every corner of the space.

  • Soften Awkward Spaces – Transform underutilized areas, especially in the washroom, into intentional, plant-filled moments.

  • Support Wellbeing – Use greenery not only for aesthetics, but also to contribute to a calming patient experience.

Our Approach

Every plant and placement was chosen to reflect three guiding principles:

  1. Plants That Thrive
We integrated a plant palette that suits the clinic’s varying light levels — from bright reception zones to low-light washroom corners enhanced with grow lights.

  2. Seamless Cohesion
Greenery was positioned to flow naturally from one area to the next, tying the moss wall into the overall clinic design.

  3. Balanced Calm
Plant forms, textures, and heights were layered to bring softness and movement without overwhelming the professional tone of the space. To ensure a polished look, we curated a thoughtful mix of statement and supportive plants.

Plant and Material Choices

  • Schefflera ‘Amate’ | Tall and architectural, anchoring the reception area and echoing the moss wall.

  • Ficus Audrey | Structured greenery that brings elegance and calm.

  • Heartleaf Philodendron & Pothos | Cascading vines to soften edges and add natural movement, eventually flowing down the reception desk as a vertical continuation of the moss wall.

  • Cast Iron Plant | Durable and grounding, ideal for low-light spaces. Chosen for it’s clumping, bush like growth habit, to not interfere with or outgrow it’s space.

Neutral-toned, contemporary planters were chosen to complement the clinic’s design and maintain a clean look without distraction, allowing the plants themselves to be the focal point.

The Outcome: A Cohesive Biophilic Experience

The finished installation carries the benefits of greenery throughout Peak Prosthodontics, uniting the moss wall with live plants for a more complete biophilic environment. Even the washroom — once a large, awkward space — now feels intentional and inviting, showing that plant design has no limits.

The addition of greenery helps ease stress and anxiety for patients, creating a calm, cohesive, and welcoming atmosphere, while also supporting staff with a more uplifting and energizing environment to work in each day.

And this is just the beginning — with future plans to extend greenery into the treatment areas, the clinic will continue to grow into a truly plant-filled, patient-centered retreat.
